Experience the magic of South Maui Gardens' Hula Show, as you journey through Polynesia on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. As the only venue of its kind in Kihei, our intimate outdoor setting ensures an up-close view for every guest starting at $100 per person. Immerse yourself in the captivating world of traditional Polynesian dance, tracing the cultural tapestry from Hawaii to New Zealand, Tahiti, and Samoa. Engaging storytelling, audience participation, and remarkable performances make this experience one-of-a-kind.

Beginning at 5:00 PM, enjoy 30-45 minutes of traditional Hawaiian music during our pre-show. The pre-show includes traditional Hawaiian music performed by live musicians and accompanied by a solo dancer. After a short intermission, come journey with us through the Pacific starting in the beautiful islands of Hawai’i.

Enjoy classic Hawaiian favorites through mele, oli, and traditional hula as we honor our cultural stories. We’ll then take you to New Zealand, introducing you to the captivating songs and dances of our brothers and sisters of Aotearoa. On to Tahiti, the vigorous lively energy of our relatives in the south will enchant you with dances and songs of old and new. The final stop on this journey brings us to Samoa, where we celebrate the element of fire and the dazzling skills of fire knife dancing. We’ll then end the evening with 10-15 minutes of live traditional Hawaiian music.

Our hula show is a celebration of Hawai'i's rich cultural heritage, and we hope it will leave you feeling inspired, uplifted, and full of aloha.

We are also very happy to find a hula show outside of corporate hotel chain and be able to support a local organization while visiting Maui. With two very small children, sitting blanket style was perfect - able to enjoy the event while stepping away as needed! Bring a blanket and low chairs - there was plenty of room and picnic tables too."

My family enjoyed getting to choose what to eat for dinner. The gardens have so many amazing food trucks to choose from. I definitely suggest this experience to everyone.”

"A lovely garden oasis with an incredible food truck park and walking paths. We ate here many times during our stay in Maui- and went to the Wednesday evening hula show which was fantastic and the timing (5-7pm) was great for us with a small child! This is in south Kihei so very close to shops and not too far away from the resort area. There is a large parking lot near the south entrance . I would highly recommend the South Maui Gardens on your next trip to Maui!!"

There was more than enough space for my 4-year old daughter to dance around to the music, and enough room for my 1 year-old to run around.
